Walk-in haircuts, beard work and hot towel shaves in the Canberra Centre.

An independent shop, run by the people cutting your hair.
Fennick opened on Level 1 of the Canberra Centre in 2017 with two chairs and a simple idea: good haircuts, done carefully, with no booking system to wrestle with. It’s still owner-run, and still walk-in only.
There are three of us behind the chairs now. Between us we cover classic cuts, fades, beards and straight-razor shaves, and we’ll happily tell you if a style won’t work for your hair.
No appointments, ever. Most of our regulars work in the city or drop in with the weekend shop. If the chairs are full, leave your name, grab a coffee, and we’ll text you when you’re two away.
Services & prices
Men’s and boys’ cuts, fades, beard work and shaves. Fixed prices, GST included, and the times are a guide to how long you’ll be in the chair.
Every service starts with a quick chat at the mirror and finishes with a check from every angle before you leave the chair.
Not sure what to ask for? Tell us how you wear your hair and how often you’d like to come in, and we’ll point you to the right cut. If something isn’t on the list, just ask.

- All prices are in AUD and include GST.
- Kids’ prices apply to children under 12. Seniors’ prices apply to clients aged 65 and over.
- Walk-ins only, subject to availability. We stop taking names about 30 minutes before closing.
- If you leave your name and step out, we’ll text when you’re two away. If you’re not back within ten minutes of your turn, we’ll see the next person and put you back on the list.
The small things we don’t skip
- A proper chat first
How you wear it, how often you’d like to come in, and what you didn’t like last time, before the clippers come out.
- Clean, every time
A fresh neck strip and cape for every client, single-use razor blades, and clippers and combs cleaned between clients.
- Straight advice
If a style won’t suit your hair or grow out well, we’ll say so, and suggest something that will.
- Time to get it right
No booking sheet means no one is watching the clock. We finish the cut, then call the next name.
